Kwanzaa ceremony in Lower Manhattan honored ancestors, called for protests against police brutality

Cyril Innis Jr. asked participants to call out the names of their ancestors during Friday’s ceremony at 290 Broadway. He also used the gathering to rally New Yorkers to keep up demonstrations against police abuse.
